ChildPlan is looking for community members to be on
the Parent Supporting Excellence in Education (ParentSEE) design
team. This committee is responsible for supporting the new ParentSEE
class, handling the logistics of ParentSEE and planning
the local graduation.
ParentSEE is a parent leadership course open to East Hartford residents
that are interested in the details, the context and the strategies to
promote school practices that increase achievement for all
students. They will learn what to expect from schools , how
to partner with them and how to be successful civic leaders on
education issues.

was a great success! We had
almost 50 families turn out to decorate. Click here to see
pictures. On a sadder note, the scarecrows were
vandalized on
Saturday night, therefore, the are not displayed on Main Street.
